Connecting a portable monitor further enhanced his productivity, providing a better viewing experience. He proceeded to write his review using Microsoft Word and even incorporated image editing with GIMP.

While the Legion Go S wasn’t designed for heavy productivity tasks, Brandon found it capable of handling basic to moderately complex functions. He noted that using KDE Plasma in handheld-only mode was cumbersome but manageable with the addition of external devices. The experience highlighted the device’s versatility beyond gaming, showcasing its potential for everyday tasks.

Reflecting on his Linux journey, Brandon appreciated the Legion Go S’s adaptability and performance in a desktop setup. Despite a few hiccups, such as touchpad issues, the overall experiment proved successful. He concluded that while the device may not excel as a dedicated productivity machine, it serves well for basic computing needs when expectations are realistic.
